As the Australian Music Week Conference fast approaches, we are proud to announce additional key figures for the event next week, with Paul Kelly, Ken West and Dan Rosen now joining the list of music Industry Heavy-weights which includes US Music Industry analyst Bob Lefsetz (The Lefsetz Letter/The Bob Lefsetz Podcast), Michael Gudinski (Mushroom Group), Michael Chugg (Chugg Entertainment), Roger Field (Live Nation), Geoff Jones (TEG), Sahara Herald (Frontier Touring), John Watson (Eleven Music), Jaddan Comerford (Unified Music Group), Owen Orford (New World Artists), Tim Worton (ASM Global), Jeremy Dylan (Potts Entertainment), Peter Noble (Bluesfest Byron Bay) and more…

Australia’s greatest and most enduring songwriter Paul Kelly joins AMW in a global podcast session with Bob Lefsetz and a live audience on Saturday November 6, from 2.00-3.30pm. Kelly is one of those rare artists to spin a long career that has delivered sold out tours, a #1 album, multiple ARIA awards, an induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame, and an Order Of Australia which acknowledged distinguished service to the Performing Arts and the promotion of the national identity through his contributions as singer, songwriter and musician.

Ken West needs no introduction. As a co-founder of the BIG DAY OUT, Ken ran the Australian/NZ event for 22 years. The iconic music Festival attracted over 5 Million fans in its lifetime and was headlined by some of the world’s biggest acts – from Nirvana, The Violent Femmes, Iggy Pop, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Chemical Brothers, Soundgarden, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and more… BIG DAY OUT was THE right of passage Festival! Ken will officially open Australian Music Week when he sits down with Bob Lefsetz for a live conference audience of delegates for a global podcast session on Wednesday November 6, from 12.15-1.30pm.

Following his inspiring speech at BIGSOUND recently, AMW welcomes Keynote Speaker ARIA CEO Dan Rosen. Dan will demonstrate that the ‘figures do matter’ in his Keynote speech that will take place on Friday November 8, from 3.20-4.20pm. “As we approach the end of the year, and the end of decade, it is time to take stock of how far we’ve come as a music industry, and where we might go next.” Dan will deliver a state of play on Australian music, providing valuable insight into our business, our culture and consumer listening behaviour.

Previously announced in the program as part of a pre-record podcast screening with Bob Lefsetz at AMW, renowned musician Peter Garrett has unfortunately had to cancel his appearance due to a conflict in recording commitments. However, the good news is Peter will still appear on a future episode of The Bob Lefsetz Podcast.

Additional panellists joining AMW this year are Jodie Williams (Music Director, Nova Entertainment), Aaron Girgis (Space 44), Will Watson (PS Music Group), Magpie Johnston (Dashville) and Nicola Tan (American Express, Director Of Experiences).
